Are Arsenal becoming 'Spursy'?! Former Gunners star claims Mikel Arteta's men remind him of north London rivals after another unexpected 'slip up' as title hopefuls are given brutal Fulham warning

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

With Liverpool not playing at the weekend, Arsenal had the chance to close the gap to the league leaders when they visited Fulham. But Mikel Arteta's side were held to a 1-1 draw, their disappointment exacerbated by Bukayo Saka's late disallowed goal.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

That point leaves Arsenal six points behind Liverpool in the title race, having played a game more than Arne Slot's side. Having come so close to ending their long wait to become champions last season, there's already a mounting feeling that the Gunners won't have enough to win the league this time around. They've dropped 16 points from their first 15 games and former defender Gallas sees shades of Tottenham in Arteta's men.

  • WHAT GALLAS SAID

"It’s always the same problem with Arsenal, they put in good performances and win against big teams and then drop points when it really matters, when they had the chance to close the gap on Liverpool," Gallas told Prime Casino.

"The question is why because this has happened over the last three seasons, you have to ask what is going wrong with Arsenal. It’s the same problem every year and is it because the players aren’t good enough? The manager can’t seem to find the solution to find three points in that sort of game against Fulham.

"Arsenal are starting to remind me of Tottenham, sometimes they slip up when you don’t expect them too, Spurs have always done that but Arsenal haven’t."
